Russian forces strike six regions across Ukraine

Russian forces launched a massive strike on six regions of Ukraine. The targets were energy and gas transport infrastructure facilities in Sumy, Poltava, Donetsk, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia.

The extent of the damage is still being clarified, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported on the morning of August 27.

In total, on the night of August 26-27, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 95 "Shahed" type attack drones and their decoys from the Kursk, Rostov, and Krasnodar regions, as well as from Crimea, reported official sources in Kyiv.

According to preliminary data, Ukrainian units destroyed 74 enemy drones in the north, south, and east of the country; 21 drone impacts were recorded in 9 locations.
